Fertility Dolls

 

Slavic nations inhabit Eastern Europe and have an old history of creating dolls for spiritual, ritual and magic purposes. They include fertility dolls, spirit dolls, and calendar dolls.

Traditional dolls have undergone certain changes throughout the last couple of centuries, but they continue fulfilling their healing and ritual purpose.

The body of the fertility doll is shaped like a cross, and is similar to the lower part of the ankh.
